Polyester designer ties have various finishes including woven polyester and polyester satin.

Silk Designer Tie

Expect silk ties to be more expensive than its polyester counterpart. Silk is very versatile; it can be printed on or woven. Take note though that pure silk designer tie should be dry-cleaned. Washing it with a machine can ruin the fabric.

Clip-on Ties – a number of men find typing their designer tie time-consuming. The clip-on tie is specifically designed for them. It comes with a neck-strap that can be clipped at the back after you have buttoned up your shirt. Majority of clip-on ties are made of polyester satin.
