Windsor

Considered to be the mother of tie knots, the Windsor know creates a professional look to any mens tie and is the best for any occasion.

1. First, the tie has to be placed around the shoulder with the fat side hanging around a foot below the thin end.
2. Cross the fat end over the thin end to make the shape of an X and ensure that this is placed near the second shirt button.
3. Circle the fat side under the thin side and through the neck loop. Drop the fat side to to overlap the thin side once again.
4. Pull the fat side towards the bunch of cloth and that was created in the first step to the left. Pull it up and once again drop it through the neck lop and then pull to the left once again.
5. Pull the fat side over the knot from left to right and then through the loop behind the nearly complete knot.
6. Get the fat side down and interleave it through the knot.
7. Complete the knot by tightening it. On doing so, a dimple will be seen. Adjust the dimple to suit the style accordingly.

Half Windsor

Just like its predecessor, the half Windsor enjoys the same professional prestige, but is a better option when being used on soft shirts and narrow collars.

1. First, the tie has to be placed around the shoulder with the fat side hanging around a foot below the thin end.
2. Cross the fat end over the thin end to make the shape of an X and ensure that this is placed near the second shirt button.
3. Pull the fat side behind the thin side to the right and then up in front of it and through the neck loop.
4. Pull the fat side from right to left and overlap the knot.
5. Pull the fat side over the knot from left to right and then through the loop behind the nearly complete knot.
6. Pull the fat side down and slide it through the knot. Complete the tie knot by manipulating the dimple.
